Canton Inn Restaurant: The Premier Destination for Authentic Cantonese-American Cuisine in Evansville

They have a drive through, buffet, and they serve alcohol. So much going on. This place was packed on a Friday night, they had people waiting for seats. I tried the buffet- they have a decent selection and the food is ok. I liked their crab rangoon and their beef and cabbage best. Nothing fancy, but the place was clean and well staffed. Our server was super. If you don't get the buffet you can get some meals ordered. The plates are huge. You will have to make an effort to leave hungry here, they will keep you fed. They have several different types of chicken dishes- all standard flavors. I thought they were a little over breaded and sauced. The noodles and rice were ok, unremarkable. The kids liked it more than me. I'd go back occasionally.

I don't typically go to buffets because I just can't eat enough to make it worth the cost. My Dad was treating the family, but even if I had been paying, the cost was about the same as getting a fast food meal at a chicken place (substituting a shake for the drink). I was delighted to try 1or 2 bites of lots of items from the buffet and not feel like I wasted money. All that I tasted was really good. Every thing seemed fresh, the buffet and tables were kept clean, and the restaurant was just the right amount of busy for a Wednesday evening. I definitely hope to go again the next time I'm in town. Flew into town and needed to eat. Pulled over to check what was around and noticed this restaurant. After seeing a constant flow of people, I decided to try it. The food was good and hot and the service was excellent. Friendly and attentive.

It was ok. Have had better. Service was good. A few items on the buffet (fried donut, and both kinds of egg rolls) were over cooked. Some items such as fried shrimp were way too salty.

I have always heard of this place and the rave reviews, but I’m not on that side of town very often. Well, yesterday I was, so I stopped by. I started with some Hot/sour soup and it was good. I like to try different Chinese entrees so I gave the Hung Sue Gai (#6)a chance. It was good! A pile of chicken and vegetables and a perfect portion of steamed rice. The service was quick and very friendly! The buffet isn’t open at the moment but you won’t leave hungry with the portions you get here. Recommend. Some of the best Chinese food in Evansville.

I’m native to this side of town and I’ve been to lots of Asian cuisine establishments, but this is the best in Evansville. A small, humble restaurant with a great staff and the best quality of food. I’ve never had bad service. Their prices have gone up, but so has everybody else. They’re worth the money for me!

My experience was very good food was great and fresh service the same. Went back twice egg rolls noodles and General Taos chicken excellent everything was delicious. I highly recommend and will be back. Price also very good.

Canton Inn is an amazing Chinese buffet! They have a wide selection of entrées, appetizers, and soups. The servers are very attentive, refilling your drinks and ensuring you are satisfied with the food quality. I can't rate them high enough it's just an awesome dining experience!!
